Tantalise your taste buds at one of our fantastic Chocolate Tasting Experiences. You will discover how to love and enjoy chocolate even more than you do now, and if you choose the pairing experience, you will explore how to pair the finest chocolate with gin, whiskey or Prosecco!
Our Chief Chocolatier, Geri Martin has undertaken qualifications through the International Institute of Chocolate and Cacao Tasting, and will take you on a journey across the globe, demonstrating on how we handcraft our chocolates in Castlerock, and then to the other side of the world, exploring where the best chocolate comes from.
We will introduce you to the five steps you need to follow to taste chocolate properly. You will explore varieties from across the world, uncovering aromas, textures and flavours you might not expect! You will be taken on a journey of discovery from white to dark chocolate. There will be more than a few surprises along the way!
In the Tasting and Pairing Experience you will sample Bushmills Whiskey, Basalt Gin or Prosecco, alongside exquisite chocolates and truffles made using these fine ingredients – there will even be some to take home with you as well!
You will be offered a hot chocolate drink during the experience and will learn about Northern Ireland’s very unique connection to the history of the popular beverage. You will also receive a 10% discount voucher for The Chocolate Shop.
Tasting Experiences start at £35pp for 6 participants, and £45pp for the Pairing experience for 6 participants – prices available upon request for other sizes of group bookings.
